What Is Money?
<p>You use money every day — but why do people accept it?</p> <p>In this SOFL lesson, learn what money is and the three jobs it does: helping us pay, compare prices and save for later. A simple example of a rice farmer trading for shoes shows why money makes buying and selling easier.</p> <p>We also look at cash, bank balances and digital payments such as UPI. You’ll learn why trust matters, how inflation can affect money and why a large bank balance does not always mean you are wealthy.</p> <p>The lesson ends with a short activity to help you spot the three jobs of money in daily life.</p>
